Talk It In

I. Read Colossians 3:12-17

  1. Share at least one aspect of forgiveness that you learned or were challenged by through the message

II. Read Colossians 3:12 & 3:14

  1. What helps you to embrace how loved by God you are?

III. Read Colossians 3:12 again

  1. What would change in your relationships if you would “wear those clothes” more often?

IV. Read Colossians 3:13

  1. Share an example of a person who has forgiven you.
  2. How did it affect you?

V. Read Matthew 18:21–22 and Ephesians 4:32

  1. What are some of the things that make forgiving hard for you personally?
  2. If so, what healthy boundaries or intentional decisions might honor both your walk with God and that relationship?

VI. Read Matthew 6:14 and Mark 11:25

  1. When have you failed to forgive someone—maybe because you didn’t know how?
  2. What did you gain? What did you lose? What happens when we fail to forgive?

VII. Read Luke 6:37 and Luke 17:3

  1. Share about a time when you went through the forgiveness process and arrived at a deeper, more satisfying relationship than before.
  2. How did you work through the process? Or, what happens when we do forgive someone? What do we gain, what do we lose?
