What’s something people usually notice about you right away, and what’s something people wouldn’t notice unless they really knew you?

Take It In

What does this reveal about who God is?

I. Read Psalm 139:1–6

  1. Verse 1 says God has “examined” you and knows everything about you. What stands out most about the way God knows you (your thoughts, actions, words), and what does that reveal about His character?
  2. Re-read verses 2–4 where David lists what God knows. Which of those feels most personal or significant to you right now?
  3. Verse 5 says God goes before you, follows you, and places His hand of blessing on you. Knowing that He already sees everything about you, what does this show about how He responds to you?

Talk About It

How do we practically apply this?

  1. Looking at Psalm 139, where do you feel most seen by God right now? Where do you still feel hidden or not known?
  2. The psalm shows that God knows everything and still stays close. What lies or assumptions have you believed about how God responds to your struggles?
  3. Sometimes being fully known can feel uncomfortable. Why do you think that is? What makes it hard to let yourself be known, even by God?
  4. Read Matthew 6:31–33. If God truly knows what you need, what are the things you still find yourself worrying about most?

Take It Home

What are we doing this week?

  1. Take a few moments each day this week to pause and remind yourself: “God, You already know this.” How might that shift your anxiety, thoughts, or reactions?
